Slow file transfer speeds

Hi there,
I've been using TeamViewer for awhile now mainly for transfering personal files from my home computer to my work computer, both of which have a 100mbit ul/dl, as partially proven in the past as I've always managed to transfer files with teamviewer at 5-6mb/s.

Now I appear to be stuck on 120kb/s, and not only that but teamviewer itself is far less responsive with high level detail on the screen, suggesting that it is not only the file transfer speed affected but also the overall connectivity.

Both computers appear to be fine, they are not suffering any problems related to slow internet, so what is the issue? - Please don't tell me teamviewer has capped the speed for the free version ,
