Running teamviewer when no user is logged in Windows
« on: December 18, 2013, 11:19:24 AM »
I have this situation and I have not been able to find answer.

Objective : I have to make my laptop available all the time. even if it restarts, even if no user is signed in. The internet is available through a device which requires to run an app.

I have windows 7 (Home Edition) running on my laptop. the internet is available by running an application that makes it possible to communicate with a device attached in USB port. it is a wireless internet.
I'm also using the CRP. this program actually keeps monitoring the specified program(s) and run them again if they crash or closed.so I have assigned Team viewer and the App(internet connection app) to it. the CRP is able to keep executing both the programs all the time. that works.

Problem is when the computer is restarted somehow, by updates or something after the windows start, it will show the login screen. The team viewer, App and CRP run within a user account. is it possible to have any solution in this case?

any solution?

im not familiar with the other aspects of your setup , but make sure that Teamviewer is set to "start with windows"
from extras/options
also, make sure that Teamviewer is allowed full rights from extras/options/security , at the bottom under "Rules for this computer" use the drop down to choose "allowed for all users"
still not sure that will allow for your system to connect, because the program that is actually connecting isnt active ( obviously)

the question would be then, is there a way to run your CRP program in the same way, so it connects prior to a windows logon?
then, with teamviewer setup correctly  you should be ale to connect to the windows logon screen.

can you link the CRP program specifically? so we can know exactly which program u are using to monitor connection?

I think what the OP needs is the 'host'

Open TV on the target machine, and go Connection >> Setup unattended access.

anything
