how to enable remote user consent when logging on?
« on: January 10, 2014, 09:42:14 AM »
my client works in an industry where unsupervised remote desktop connections are not allowed.
Is there a consent or "allow user to connect" option the remote user can click to allow my access to his/her system?
i have checked all the settings in version 9 and I cannot seem to find this.  nothing online either.
is the only way to do this is to have the password changed for the user?
I would like the password static since it would be faster for him to click 'allow' rather than to explain my client (who is 86 years old) to find the teamviewer icon, double click, and tell me the 'password' he see's.

thanks
tom.

on the REMOTE machine open:
Extras/options/Advanced/Show Advanced
Under "Advanced Settings for this Computer":
in the drop down next to "Access Control" choose "Confirm All"
Click "ok" close the dialogue box.

Now , whenever YOu try to connect to THAT system, on your machine you will initially see their screen pop up as normal, you wont have access/control yet BUT you will see a dialogue saying "please wait while connecting"
on the remote system a box will pop up saying "Do you want to grant your partner access to see your screen?"  they will have 30 seconds to respond by clicking "ok" if they do not the connection will not be made and your will see a box that says " Your partner did not confirm your query for remote control"
