Teamviewr 9 VERY slow on Mac (8 was fine)
« on: March 26, 2014, 08:27:37 AM »
TV8 ran fine, no problems, a little sluggish at times, but ever since I installed Teamviewer 9, it is almost non-responsive. I've reset the Quality to speed, refreshed, and it seems to get worse during the day. The app itself (control bar) runs fine, but browser/finder interaction on the remote computer is VERY slow. Any suggestions very much appreciated!!

Same goes with me. I have Maverick and Teamviewer 9. Not only it is laggy, it is non-responsive every few seconds. I.e. connected OK, session is quite fast, then hang..no activity. Mouse can be moved but button click does nothing. Then suddenly, it springs to live again! Rinse and repeat.

Tested with 4 different Macs as the host. Tested from Chrome (Web Login) on 3 different MacBook Air. Same problem.

Well, Teamviewer 8 does NOT support 2-factor authentication. If you use 2FA (highly recommended), you have to use Teamviewer 9, but then you'll came across the issue above.

Lame...

Just registered to say I have the SAME problem.. been using TV forever with PC's.. XP, Vista, Win 7, Win 8 and no issues anywhere.. but, now I have a MAC at home and trying to connect from a Win 7 machine (TV v9.0.29947) to my MAC-Mavericks (TV v9.0.29200) is not only slow and sluggish all the time.. but does the same non-responsive thing as above... moving along sluggishly, then hang.. no activity though my mouse can move around via teamview (TV menu bar works) and then BOOM it suddenly works again.. and then same nonsense.  I know its not the machine, connection, network because at the same time, I can have another TV session running to an XP machine in the house and it never hesitates nor freezes... in fact - its scary fast!

As it is - this is not a working solution for remote access and unless TV fixes this problem - I'll need to move on which is a shame since it works so well for windoze systems and all my family and friends have TV installed for the occasional (help me!) phone calls.. its so quick and easy to get on their boxes to quickly review.

Any thoughts admins?

NO

That's the point of the very large notice that appears above all posts.

This is a USER run site, started presumably because of lack of official support channels.
As the links ABOVE say, contact TeamViewer on their facebook page, or send an official support ticket.

Bah... no thanks.. don't do Facebook and think that is a terrible way to offer community support.  Moving on to another vendor... thx for the info Matt.

Sadly, it appears I'm not alone and something with Mavericks broke TV... if the devs don't care enough to help - then I  don't care to use their software.
