Mysterious Team Viewer Sign In On MBP Wake Up

Have TV set up on my MBP

I just noticed this happening early this morning.  If it's happened in the past I've overlooked it and given TV has been installed for quite some time I'm pretty sure I'd have noticed.

On waking an unknown TeamViewer ID 'Signs on'.  The dialog box indicating it is fleeting and disappears, however I can click the 'Messages' icon in the upper right and it shows in the listings along with the legit, known TV IDs 'Signed on'.  Actually I just noticed that the number I'm seeing is actually the Alias [ name ], not the TV ID, however it's nine digits the same as a TV ID.  It's 108xxxxxx as opposed to my other IDs which are all in the 8xx xxx xxx range.

Not sure if it's a function of the MBP sleep / wake mode, or just a coincidence that it's 'Signing on' beforehand and then showing up on wake up.

Bottom line I don't think it should be there and it has me concerned.

I have recently been playing around with trying to get our iPads loaded with TV attempting to allow remote control of them, found that was not possible, only TV QuickSupport will work on those with very limited access and capability.  I've checked and none of the IDs created on the two iPads with the TV Remote or QuickSupport apps match this mystery one.

Have I got an unauthorized entity somehow logging into our Mac via TV?  If so, how to tell and what to do about it.

TIA,

Steve

Doesn't somebody out there have a clue about this?

TIA...

I've also just noticed, in the past two days, phantom sessions on my laptop.  First thing in the morning when I open the lid, there's a session running when none was running the night before.  I can tell because my wallpaper is black, and the little tab is on the lower right side of the screen showing a session from an ID I don't have on any of my other TeamViewer machines...

I normally log out of computers and contacts each time I am finished with it

I'd suggest that you change your password on both computers and contacts, and also for remote access to your machine
