Access locked Mac
« on: February 05, 2014, 06:58:35 AM »
Hey

I have been using TeamViewer for a long time, but these days I really need it a lot. If the Mac is locked (i.e. being the lock-screen) I cannot sign in to it from another machine. I know I can prevent getting a locked Mac after I log out by chossing this option under "Actions" in the TeamViewer remote control window, but what I could not figure out was how to actually log into a locked computer.

Example:
If I leave work I don't want my computer to be unlocked all the time, so I usually set it to require unlocking after the screen saver activates. If this happens, I cannot log into it from my home Mac. So I have to prevent the Mac from being locked by disabling any sleep or lock features. Is there any way I can log into a locked computer?

btw: I usually use "Back to my Mac", but at work my computer sits behind a firewall, so only TeamViewer will give me access. Via "Back to my Mac" I could also log into a locked session though.

thanks for any help
cheers

rusbs
