Remote Printing not workign
« on: January 25, 2015, 09:55:37 AM »
I am hoping that I can get some help with an issue that I am currently having.  Remote printing, well it's not working.  My current setups:

PC 1 - Compaq Desktop, Windows 7 Home Premium SP 1
--2 Physical Printers, 1 Virtual
---HP MFP M127fn [USB] (PCLmS driver)
---HP MFP M127fn [TCP/IP w/ static IP outside of DHCP scope] (Same driver as above)
---Bullzip PDF printer

PC2 - Gateway Laptop, Windows 8 Home Premium and Windows 7 Home Premium (Dual Boot)
--1 Physical Printer
---HP MFP M127fn [TCP/IP w/ static IP outside of DHCP scope] (Same driver as above)

External PCs - Both running Windows 7 Home Premium
--No Physical Printers

All configurations are using the latest version of TeamViewer

-----------

When I remotely connect to the external PC, all functions work.  I can transfer files, use the external PC as expected.  When I choose the option to remotely print, the printers install on the remote PC, but when I go to print any document to the M127fn [USB or TCP/IP] nothing happens.  I opened up the "See What's Printing" windows on both sides, I see the document flash in on the remote PC, but nothing comes over to the local PC.  I've tried this both on PC 1 and PC 2 on both external PCs.

Oddly enough though the Bullzip printer, which is just a software PDF printer, opens just fine, and functions as expected.

I've tried all configurations with UDP off, and on, and to no avail.  Any help would be great.  Thanks in advance!

HP Drivers are always a bit, well 'flaky'.

They have a universal driver on their website. Try it instead of the default device driver.
HP Universal driver was always good for Terminal Services on Server 2003 (Server 2008 does printing much better using 'EasyPrint' drivers - but that is an aside :D )
