Mac - Unusable due to massive CPU usage
« on: October 03, 2014, 01:44:35 AM »
Hi,

I have Teamviewer running on my Mac (9.0.32669) and connect via a windows 7 or 8 machine.

I'm able to use the Mac for around 10 minutes before the CPU usage hits around 90% and it becomes unusable (10 seconds use followed by 2-3 minutes waiting for the Mac to respond).

Any idea on what could be causing this please? Any more information needed?

Thank you.

I am also having this kind of problem, connecting from a Windows 7 PC to my Mac.  The Teamviewer_desktop process hogs almost all of the CPU cycles, and the machine becomes unusable.

I rebooted (a painfully slow process with Teamviewer taking forever to respond to each mouse click or keyboard entry), and now I can't connect with Teamviewer at all.  I get a message that the password I am entering is incorrect.

Perhaps it's just as well.  The performance with Teamviewer is so bad that I really need to look for something else.  I'm just sorry that no one has figured this out.  It seems to happen fairly often, judging by Google search results, with different versions of Teamviewer.  At least they let you "try before you buy" for non-commercial use.
