Newbie Question: Computers and Contacts form
« on: May 17, 2015, 03:21:51 PM »
I am using TeamViewer 10 to help my mother with her computer issues; she lives in another city. We both have notebooks running Windows 8.1.

When I launch TeamViewer, I get the larger TeamViewer window and a smaller Computers and Contacts form to the right of that. What is the purpose of the Computers and Contacts form? It has my email address in the email textbox and also has an empty textbox for a password.

If you are ONLY supporting your mother, you won't use it.

I use Teamviewer commercially (with appropriate licence), and I create a new group for each of my clients. I can log on to a clients computer by double clicking their computer from the list in each folder, and entering the appropriate password.

None of my clients log into teamviewer...it just runs in the background.

A belated thanks for that information. Now I know that I can ignore that (sub)window :-)
