The registration activation emails all eventually came in, over a period of about 3 or 4 days. Really, really slow.

White Window Problem Solved?
« Reply #16 on: April 16, 2014, 06:14:20 AM »
This morning I spent some time playing with various settings to try to fix this problem, as Teamviewer support has been useless. I have sent logfile after logfile, and nothing that approached working was provided.

Anyway, on my host machine (the one running Windows 8.1 that I want to connect to) I turned off the "remove own wallpaper". On my remote machine (the one I use to connect - running windows 7), I turned off "remove remote wallpaper".

I now get both Firefox and Chrome displaying properly.

I have no idea why the wallpaper features would interfere with these two browsers and other programs (TurboTax is one), but apparently that is the cause.

I am having the same problem.

Where do I turn off "remove own wallpaper"? Under options / remote control I see only "remove wallpaper" (I am using the german version, here it is "Desktophintergrund") which seems to be the remote wallpaper.

Regards,
Eddie

Thanks a lot - strange tat I didn't see it before..

Though it didn't completely solve my problem. Firefox works now, thunderbird is displayed but doesn't do anything.
I'll have to test from a real remote computer next week, currently I am using only my WLAN.

Thanks for your help,
Eddie

I think I found a better fix from someone else. I tried the hardware accelerator and that didn't work for me. The video in this link did work though:

Maybe because I'm using Windows 8.1  the other fixes didn't work but this one finally did, good luck.

Dear All,

Kindly note this method worked for me check this link: "http://lifehacker.com/disable-firefoxs-hardware-acceleration-to-fix-slowness-749344037"
All you need to do is to disable Firefox Hardware acceleration to fix the white screen.

Enjoy....

oh --- my --- goodness!

I just spent hours on this problem.  I pay a good bit for TV because I love their product.  Didn't expect to find them at the end of it.

I was configuring a new laptop out of the box and the lid was closed.  I normally configure with Windows 7, but this one is an exception with Windows 8.  Installed Chrome Canary, Firefox, and both were having the same problem.  Opened the lid and problem solved.

TV needs to get it together with this issue.  Seems silly.
