no mouse clicks can be sent, can't remotely reboot

Trying to login to my desktop from Osx 10.11 macbook to 10.11 desktop, both running most recent version of Teamviewer. I can see everything on the desktop, and I can send keyboard commands, but the mouse clicks don't send. The one exception is I can click on the desktop or an already open app to switch focus but that's it.

Also the option to remotely reboot is greyed out on my local teamviewer, so I can't reboot the desktop to try again.

I can login to my Windows 10 desktop just fine and the mouse works, etc. I even tried teamviewering into the windows pac and then teamviewering from it to the mac desktop, but same mouse issues.

Any suggestions how I can get my machine working? Need to send something for work but can't get into my app :/
