Multiple monitors - primary screen
« on: August 18, 2015, 07:10:38 AM »
Hey,

I have 2 monitors, and prefer having the Teamviewer connection window open on my secondary monitor.

Except every time I connect to a computer, it always opens on my primary monitor (as chosen in Display properties in Windows), so I have to drag it over to the secondary screen.

Even if I do 'Wait for Partner', I'll initially have it open on my secondary screen, but when the partner comes back up, it will re-open on the primary screen, so I have to drag it across again.

How do I get Teamviewer to remember the last screen that was used.  So if I did last have it open on the primary screen, it remember this?

It's really annoying!

Thanks

danm

I personally recommend 3rd party software for managing multiple screens. I like one called UltraMon but it only has a 30 day trial then you have to buy it. This lets you program all your apps to open in the screen you want I believe. I am not sure how to do it within windows natively, if it is even an option.

This is not a Windows problem, it's a TeamViewer problem.

Every other application installed remembers the last screen it was open on:  I use Outlook on my secondary screen and it always opens there without me having to drag it across.

Only TeamViewer seems to force itself on to the primary screen.  Is this another 'restriction' in the free version?

Hi there:

I have the same issue - UltraMon and TeamViewer.  Apps that would appears on screens 2 or 3 will open on screen 1 while remoting into system via TV.  LogMeIn works fine, so it's definitely a TV issue.
