Attempted Hacking?

I recently had received an email from "service@teamviewer.com" that was transcribed in Chinese of someone asking for a teamviewer "token" request. As soon as I had got this, I immediately suspected this as a hack attempt because I recently had an account to another unrelated program go under the same situation, a email request that was account related in a foreign language. Now what happened afterwards kind of surprised me, not sure if I did this or not, but a window opened that asked if I wanted to save the exact link/chrome document on my desktop. I immediately closed it and opened up task manager to close the team-viewer process. There wasn't even any indication of team-viewer being on ( no usual hud on screen) but it apparently was up (possible stealth mode?). Before posting here I saw the other recent threads on here mentioning the same situations that weren't even past a couple days old. I uninstalled the program and have no intention of re-downloading it for a while. What I'm curious about is that does it mean there was possibly a data breach since I'm not the only one experiencing this at this time?

[Edit] Apparently my email was used to make an account? I didn't click on the link or even open the email until right now. My email account has a phone number verification as well so I'm certain no one has access to it besides me. This is dated on the 22nd. What is going on?

Scanning PC with malwarebytes at the minute. I think I'm safe for now but I would like to get some opinions on this whole situation at the minute. Thanks guys!

Something is definitely going on. I was connected to on the night of May 28th. They immediately went to PayPal and Amazon but did not login to either account. I watched them do this. Then they disconnected within a minute or two. I do not know if this was the first time for them to connect to me and they were just checking to see what was available on my laptop or what. But it scared me enough to cause me to uninstall TV and have everyone I know also uninstall TV. It seems that the stance TV takes on these reports is that it is due to "user error and complacency" and are not doing anything more about it. Very foolish approach. How can any corporate client feel secure now? They can't. I just went to the TV Facebook page and apparently now their network is down and people cannot get connected. Coincidence? I think not.

Got hacked myself.  They get into Paypal and buy on Amazon, eBay, and bit tokens.  Had to cancel all my credit cards.  Still working out the eBay problems over a few weeks now.
