Suddenly can't connect to ANY machines
« on: June 25, 2016, 08:49:52 AM »
I've used Teamviewer for a long time. Today, I can't connect to ANY of the computers in my list, using either my PC or my Android.

All machines are running the current version.

On my PC, I get the error:
"A connection could not be established.
Partner could not be contacted at the given network address."

On my Android, it simply says "Error".

I tried from a different machine. All computers in my list also show up, but I get the same error message.

I'm wondering if this is something on Teamviewer's end? This only started today, and I've checked everything I could think of, to no avail. Any ideas?

Teamviewer have recently added additional security measures including device activation...
Have you tried from the teamviewer.com web page (log in top right hand corner)

Are you saying that I need to do this, with MY login info, for EVERY computer in my list? Some of those machines are remote (which is why I use TeamViewer in the first place!).

I did it on my phone, my computer, and the other machine on my LAN, and this had zero effect. These new "security measures" are apparently so effective, they've rendered TeamViewer completely useless.

This is now beyond ridiculous! I added THIS machine to my "trusted devices" and received a confirmation. When I logged in, I checked the "keep me logged in" box. The next time I opened it in a browser window, my login info was gone, and the "keep me logged in" box, unchecked. When I re-entered the info, AGAIN the box popped up with the "We could not verify if your account has been used on this browser before... BLAH BLAH BLAH". At the same time, my phone notified me that I had an email, guess what.... to do what I have already done.... register this device!

Maybe it's time to find a remote solution that actually works. This is borked, and no longer worth using.

No
I think at most you should need to do it from computers that your log in from (computers that you physically touch)

You should not need to this for all computers that you remote into.
