Trying to remotely add a Windows Domain Controller to an existing domain.
It was a standalone 2012 R2 server. I could TV to that and joined it as a server in the domain. I could still TV it after a reboot. Then I added the role as Domain Controller. It was done successfully. Then I rebooted it and now I lost the TV. I could TV into another domain controller and I could ping the IP of the new server and I also see that the teamviewer service is started:
sc \\w2012R2 query teamviewer
SERVICE_NAME: teamviewer
        TYPE               : 10  WIN32_OWN_PROCESS
        STATE              : 4  RUNNING
                                (STOPPABLE, NOT_PAUSABLE, ACC
        WIN32_EXIT_CODE    : 0  (0x0)

And I could stop and start it but the server doesn't come up on my TV list.

Can anyone please help?

Can you access that machine some other way (RDP from the Local Network perhaps)

seems like an internet connection problem now that the machine has joined the domain, perhaps firewall related or group policy induced

Actually the moment the PC joins domain, TV un-assigns itself from my TV account. I have to have someone there to get me the ID and password so that I can remote back in, and re-assign it back to my TV account.

So, if you count on 100% remote control to do all the work after hrs, in the scenerio, you can't.

even without the computer assigned to your account, if you know the ID (which doesn't change) and set a permanent password (in addition to the random ones) you should still be able to control the computer remotely.

The assigning to your TV account is NOT a pre-requisite

Right. Now I know and I hope this will help other people.
Add a permanent password before you add to or remove from domain.
Go to Property of the "offline" computer on your list to get the ID, then, with the password, you can remote directly.
