Teamviewer now shows sponsored message for LAN Connections
« on: July 13, 2016, 04:01:20 PM »
Hi There

I'm wondering why for LAN connections, the sponsored message by teamviewer.com is now coming up.

Unfortunately this has forced me to uninstall team viewer and move to ultraview in my home setup as my media center now displays this message whenever I remote onto it.
I can understand how using the teamviewer assigned pc number would show this, but for LAN connections which is more than obviously on-network, it has no contact with teamviewer server at all.

I love teamviewer, but this change has me pulling it off every machine in my house.

Oof, how bad is it now?  I all but stopped using it for media as soon as they removed sound support for LAN (the first time? they might have rolled it back iirc).  NoMachine works rather well for audio but it doesn't play with my tablet super well for anything else (resolution is stretched, no automatic panning in the other mode and my tablet only supports 2 touch input so no manual, over-sensitive clicking, and they keyboard's not really as nice).  Does the portable version of TV have that junk as well? I've also been meaning to check out Splashtop.

This happens when connected by LAN to windows 10 but not by LAN to windows 8.1 or 7  in my home setup.
