Solved: TV Server not online although started
« on: July 11, 2011, 04:30:08 AM »
Hello!

I just installed TV whith server automatically started at Win7-Startup. But although the server is started the PC is not online and tray-icon does not appear! Restarting the server has no effect. I have to start the TV-application in order to get the PC online. Why could this be? There are 4 rules defined in Win-FW for incoming connections: UDP and TCP for the service and for the application. Reinstalling didnt solve the problem.

Thanks,
dag0

restarting TV-Server:

Hello dag0,
can you please send us your TeamViewer log file as a ZIP-file to support@teamviewer.com to analyse the problem?
Please tell us also the time when the problem occurred.
You will find the log file on TeamViewer-menu 'Extras/Open log files'. The name of the file is 'TeamViewer6_Logfile.log', if available please also send us 'TeamViewer6_Logfile_OLD.log'.
If available, please send us also the Crash-Files with the ending *.mdmp.
It would be nice, if you could send all these files as a ZIP-file attachment!

Regards
Inga, TeamViewer

Hello!

Thanks for your answer! The problem is permanent. And just now I notice, that there appears no ID for my computer at TVs main-screen. The field is empty! Log-file is on its way to you!

Bye,
dag0

Problem resolved! Obviously I changed the permanent password as non-administrator ignoring the message, that by doing this TV will not start with Windows.  ::) I configured the permanent password again as admin and now it works!
