Session ends immediately
« on: August 12, 2016, 01:06:03 PM »
suddenly, and without any major changes to my computers, i am no longer able to connect to my main desktop from any device.  i have had no problems for a long time, using tv on up to 5 different computers, connecting in any configuration.  now when i connect to this PC, it says initializing display parameters, then connects and immediately closes, going back to "ready to connect" status.  i have submitted a ticket with TV support, however i though it might be a good idea to make a post here as well.

i am running TV 11.0.64661 and windows 10.  the only thing i did today was to setup a few laptops with webcams running ispy server.  they all connect to my main pc running ispy which displays the cameras from the networked laptops.  normally i would use teamviewer to see my main pc screen, giving me the ability to monitor my home security cams from whichever computer i am using.  i do not believe i did any windows updates or TV updates recently.  i have had no problems using TV in conjunction with ispy in this manner before.

i will attach the part of my TV log that documents the failed connection.  i also have a "crash.report" file, and a ".mdmp" file that are generated upon attempting.  as i am limited to 2 attachments on this post, i will just post the log file.  if the other files are relevant, i can post those as well.

NOTE: in the log file, i have replaced my Partner ID with ***ID#***, the connecting computer with ***ID2***, my name with ***Full Name***, and my ip address with ***.MyIP.Addr.***

interesting thing i noticed.  while i was doing an OS update on my main PC, i was actually able to connect with teamviewer.  of course it just showed me the progress bar of the update.  however, this would support the idea that there is some process running that blocks teamviewer.  during the update it was logged out of windows and presumably closed down most other processes.  honestly i am surprised that windows even lets you connect during that screen.  i found another forum where someone had suggested that, but never responded if they figured out what process was blocking it.

SOLVED:

uninstall / reinstall, and now it's fine...
