Hello everybody on this forum,

yestarday they stole my laptop with a lot of important and personal file on it, so i'm quite not happy. I almost not care about the laptop itself (5 years old) but the file to me are important. >:( >:(

I've got teamviewer installed on it, registered with my account, i was hoping if there is any kind of way to track it down (at least the ip from where he is connecting then i will pass it to the police force).

the only thing that i can think of is to check the log file, but i'm not if a computer registered to my account, when it comes online, it write down somewhere the log (maybe on one other pc registered with the same account).

On all my pc TV runs on Win7.

I hope you guys can help me out and save me.

Thanks in advance!

If you see the machine come on you can open up a browser on the laptop through teamviewer and go to http://www.whatsmyip.org/ and it will tell you the IP of the machine at the top of the page.

Does the laptop have a webcam?
If so do you know how to access the webcam software?
If you see the machine log on, access the webcam software and start it, you will see the image appear, then take a screen shot  of what you see from YOUR computer and save it
or open a browser on the remote computer( your laptop ) and go to http://www.testmycam.com/ ( you may need to allow "flash" on the remote laptop to get that website to run)
take a screenshot using your computer and save it.
I would also post this issue to the teamviewer twitter feed:
