Disable user access on teamviewer for corporate
« on: August 22, 2012, 01:01:21 PM »
we use tv 7 in a corporate environment with hundreds of pc's.  Each ITstaff member has a tv account and we have a tv manager server that we sync our partner lists with.  But I notice that I can also see my entire partner list when I log into the login.teamviewer.com with my id, so I can install tv on any computer (non-corporate included) I want to and have access to my partner list.   When an ITstaff person leaves the company, how can we disable that person from having access to the partner list and being able to remotely control our pc's and servers?

Secondarily, is there a way to force a password change on all the remote PC's on our partner lists easily?

Can you change / edit / delete the teamviewer account when the staff member leaves?

I don't believe so, and I would expect that that could be fraught with danger. What if someone malicious changed all passwords, what even if it was an accident.

AFAICT the only way to change a password is to remote onto each machine, go to TeamViewer options and change the password.

The way that I use TV is to provide support to multiple external businesses. I have them grouped by business name in computers and contacts, and invariably set an individual password for each business group that the owner / manager of that business knows, so that they have control of restricting me from accessing their computers, and so that they can't log into each others computers if they could happen to find out which computers I support. Setting a single password could be more trouble than you expect.

Good questions though - glad to see a fellow serious user on the forums. There aren't enough of us.
