Teamviewer ID
« on: January 03, 2013, 07:26:13 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I am currently installing a VDI based terminal solution and i have 30 XP based virtual machines on a server.

The idea is to connect to the virtual machines trough a zero client.

At first i install by a standard manner one virtual machine (with ISO file and etc.)

and then i use this machine as a source. I make clone the virtual hard drive of this machines 29 times.

In this manner i am able to create 30 VM's for a short amount of time.

The only problem is that i want to install on every machine Teamviewer but it turns out that all machines have the same ID.

In this case i've installed the teamviewer before i made the clones of the hard drives!

After i pre-install the teamviewer the ID stays the same. Can you give some advice on that problem?

maybe i should at first clone all virtual hard drives and then install the teamviewer?

Do any of you have the idea on what principle the ID's are given?

Thank you in advance!

as far as i know the teamviewer ID is hardware based, i think you may run into a problem getting a separate ID for each VM, i do not think the re is a way to force a different ID.
You may try to contact TV support through their Facebook page and post the same issue there:
