Always the same ID in TeamViewer when cloned on server
« on: April 05, 2013, 05:08:21 AM »
Hi

I always get the same ID in TeamViewer on the Virtual Machines that has been cloned and running on the Windows Server 2012.

This is how I have done.

I have installed a Windows 7 the normal way on a blank hard disk.
After that I executed “Disk2Vhd” from sysinternals.com
Then a copied the VHD-file to my Windows Server 2012 to use it as a Virtual Machine in Hyper-V.
Cloning it by using the “System Center 1012 Virtual Machine Manager”
All cloned Virtual Machines have their own MAC-address and Computer Name.
When I try to install TeamViewer, I always get the same ID on all cloned Virtual Machines

What can I do to get separate ID on each cloned machines?

Regards
Hakan

Never used it in a VM, but for replication on physical machines this script has helped me quite a bit.  Not sure how you could integrate it into VDI scenarios, though.
