Username and password do not match
« on: July 25, 2013, 12:00:11 AM »
Hello,

For some reason, I cannot log into Teamviewer from 2 of my devices. This has been a problem for the past month. When trying to login from them I get the following message: The username and password you entered do not match any accounts on record. I know my login info is correct because I can sign in to the website and other devices correctly with the same login info.

I have Teamviewer installed on 4 home computers and 1 or 2 Android phones. (I haven't checked if it still works on my old Android phone yet) Two of my home computers are exact clones of each other. Same hardware and the HDD's are cloned. The devices I cannot sign in on are new within the last month. One being my cloned home PC and the 2nd being my M919 T-mobile SGS4. I think this login problem is occuring with new installs of Teamviewer. Any ideas what could be happening?

Thanks

matt

The two cloned machines, do they generate the same TV ID?

Can you see the 'new' devices on your list of 'computers and contacts'?

No, they are different Teamviewer IDs. When I checked, I realized that both clone machines don't log in. So my list of devices is as follows

Desktop: Can Login
Laptop: Can Login
Galaxy Nexus: Can Login

Clone computer 1 (litecoin miner): Can't Login
Clone computer 2 (litecoin miner): Can't Login
M919 Galaxy S4: Can't Login

I tried re-installing and that didn't help.

Do you have a proxy server used by those computers?

Just to be clear, this is when logging on to teamviewer when you first start teamviewer, correct?
Can you connect to the cloned computers without logging in to them, ie start teamviewer, but don't log in
Access from one of your other computers, and use the TV ID of the clone to connect to the clone.

No, no proxy.

Yes, I cannot log on when I first start Teamviewer.
Yes, I can connect to the cloned computers without signing in to Teamviewer. I am able to add the cloned computers to my Teamviewer contact list and connect to them from my Desktop.

I guess I don't really need to sign on to Teamviewer on the clone computers. I can ignore that problem. As long as I can access them, I am happy.
But the problem is still that I cannot log on from my phone and I would like to keep track of the cloned computers from my phone while I'm away.

I am also having this problem as of today. The weird thing I was using it no problem this morning, hadn't changed any details whatsoever and then, after lunch, couldn't get access to my home machine remotely as I'm getting "Authentication Rejected". So I tried logging into the web portal version and was told that my login credentials were incorrect. These are the same credentials I was using on the client this morning and allow my client to connect to my account and see all the machines attached to it.

So what I don't understand is that my client logs in no problem and I can see the other machines there. Why is the web portal complaining about the exact same login details that WERE working only hours before?
