File transfer error : Access is denied
« on: July 04, 2013, 09:52:29 AM »
Both the remote computer and I are using TV v8.0.19045. I'm using Windows XP Pro and the remote is on Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit. When transferring a file I get this message:

eula.1028.txt is the file I'm transferring. This happens with any file and from different paths and drives. However, I can transfer files between TV accounts on two computers on my LAN. But once I access a computer outside the LAN then the file transfer fails.

Anybody else see this?

Longshot,
are either machines logged into non administrator accounts?
check especially the machine you are transferring TO.

this may be worth submitting a direct ticket:
You can navigate to this page:
http://www.teamviewer.com/en/help/createticket.aspx
choose "private" category then "next", then fill out the form and submit.

Keep in mind that support questions for the free version may take some time to be answered BUT you may find one of the community members can answer the issue quickly and you add the resolution if received from the support team.

Thanks, admin accounts may be the thing. I successfully transferred to a PC running an administrator account but couldn't to one set to power user. However, their IT person had no problem transferring to the power user account using his Teamviewer. There could have been other permissions he had that I'm not aware of.

I still may submit a ticket to confirm/deny the theory and hopefully get a solution.
