Hello,
I hope this is the right place for my post. We've got TeamViewer 8 and TeamViewer Manager 8 on up to 30 clients installed.
We tried the installation on another computer. The TeamViewer Manager can't connect to the sql database from this computer. But there is no limitation by firewall etc. We've configured the same parameters for the connection as on any other computer.
It fails with the following error message:
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified QODBC3: Unable to connect
The funny thing is that after this error happens it shows that about 50 connections couldn't be imported, but if the program couldn't connect to the database where does it get this value from?
We tried to figure out if the mentioned driver is missing. It's the "SQL Server Native Client 10.0"-driver (SQLNCLI10.DLL). But the dll-file, which is stored in in system32 and SysWow64, has the same version like on computers where TVM works fine. We deinstalled the TVM and made a new installation. The "SQL Native Driver"-checkbox was definitely checked. But afterwards the same problem occurs.
In the end we used Procmon to see if there is some "Access denied" or something like this. But there was nothing.
OS: Server 2008, Windows 7 Enterprise
SQL Server 2008
TV: 8.0.18051
TVM: 8.0.135
Thanks for your help
