I frequently connect to a friend to assist with computer issues. We  have used TeamViewer 8 for this quite a bit. We BOTH just recently purchased new HP computers with Windows 7 (64 bit)). Today I was able to connect to him, like normal, however I was not able to click anything on his screen. I could see his screen fine though. Anytime I tried to "click" something, a large blue arrow pointed at where I was attempting to click, but nothing happened unless he himself clicked it.

Oddly enough, I am able to connect to another friend, and control his computer just fine.

The first person says they didn't have any warnings or errors or anything out of the ordinary pop up.

If any one has a clue, I'd appreciate it.

The blue arrow you are seeing is a feature of TeamViewer that let's you point out things to whoever is watching the remote computer--it sounds like your friend's client may not be configured properly.  I would go through it's settings and make sure that permission for remote control is enabled.
