TV changes menu effects - XP Pro

Just started with TV since LogMeIn Free says that Free is coming to an end.

? Unfortunately, when I use TV from the office to look at my home XP Pro computer, TV changes the "Effects on menus and tooltips" on my home computer from none (unchecked), which is my overwhelming preference, to partially on, with my menus, toolbars and Start button then fading in and out.  Horrible!!  Disgusting!!  Gross!!  How do I stop TV from doing that? ?

? Since I'm posting here, another Q - if i enlarge the TV window on my office PC so that it's really full screen, how can I get it back to not full screen?  Esc does not do anything, and there's no obvious button to undo the total full screen.?
