Hello! i'm a lmi refugee although i have used teamviewer often in the past for one off support situations because it was easy to use without installing for friends or relatives that i didn't often support.
I've come to like the interface both in windows and android but have run into a blocking issue.

I support my family (my and my wifes computers, both of my parents computers) and a coworker, and former neighbor. My parents are 79 and my dad is severely click happy. my coworker has kids that love to mess with me when i work on her computer. my former neighbor doesn't need anyone accessing his computer randomly as he sometimes goes to place that i don't want to see let alone my coworkers kids so i'd like to lock the access down and if possible hide the possibility of someone trying to access the computers.

So, for the co-worker and my parents, i have gone into the options on the teamviewer app and disallowed access to other computers and made changes require the admin password. however, they can still chat and see the other computers in the group. how do i disallow this?

don't log them all in to your account

I only log in from the computer that I am sitting in front off. This way all users ONLY see their machine, and perhaps mine
