Windows 8 : only works on LAN ?

Hi

I'm struggling to get teamviewer to work. Despite hours of googling I haven't come up with any solutions and any help would be appreciated.

I have installed Teamviewer 9 onto my windows 8 machine. It works fine on my LAN but won't allow connections over the internet.
 
On start up team viewer reports: only Lan connections are possible.

I have tried running it with the firewall disabled and I get the same result.

I have installed it on my MAC and it works over the internet fine so I don't think it's my router causing the issue.

If anyone has some ideas of things to check or solutions to try it would be much appreciated.

LAN connections only is an Advanced setting isn't it?

i dont see naythingn LAN related in advanced settings.
In extras/options/general there is a dropdown for LAN settings( deactivated on mine) but there is a setting called "accept exclusively".
 check to see if that is set that way somehow.

Thanks, I have changed incoming lan connections from "accept exclusively" to "accept" and this has enabled connection over the internet. I'm pretty sure this was set on installation. But glad to have it working.

I got a generic reply to my ticket from teamviewer that pointed me to their help pages.........
