TeamViewer Newbie - Control PC via LAN from an iPad
« on: March 10, 2014, 09:44:46 PM »
I have installed Teamviewer on a local desktop, a local laptop and a remote desktop, and when I am connected to the internet wirelessly, all three computers appear when I log in to my account, and I can control any of them from any of the other locations.

I would like, however, to be able to control the laptop with my ipad, without being connected to the internet.  I enabled "accept LAN connections", and I set up an ad hoc network connection on the laptop, but when I open TeamViewer on the iPad, and I try to sign in to my user account, nothing happens...the buttons are non-functional.  I don't see how I have to set up the laptop and the ipad to be able to get them to connect via my LAN.  I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer.

If the local laptop and local desktop are in the same SAME LAN then you shouldn't have to make any changes, your iPad should work the same (via your wifi)

Thanks Matt, what I really need to do is control the laptop with my iPad when the laptop is just standing alone, and not connected to the internet or to any other computer.  How do I set up the laptop and iPad to do that?
