Teamviewer and portable mode on linux
« on: April 10, 2014, 08:54:05 AM »
I have just switched from xp to lin mint and I would like to have teamviewer around  in case I ever need help from my friends. The thing is on xp I would use it in portable mode ( run only , no install ) since I was uncomfortable with the possibility teamviewer running all the time and I did not need or want to use unattended mode – if that's what it was called. On linux I downloaded a deb package for teamviewer  which I must “install” in order to run teamviewer. But  except for the times I am actually using teamviewer I  do not want any daemon/service or process associated with teamviewer to run. Is that possible and how can it be done?
