Teamviewer broken on 2 (wireless) PC's....
« on: April 24, 2014, 06:18:59 PM »
Newest Teamviewer (V9)

Both XP boxes

Were working fine...

3 other boxes (2 XP 1 Vista) working fine....but these 3 are direct wired (rg cable)

The two broken boxes are connecting via Belkin USB wireless adapters. (one on second floor - one in basement too far/no access) for cabling)

Upon boot - both broken boxes won't even start Teamviewer - the exe fails at startup...and I get an error message.

It seemed to happen with either the newest version of Teamviewer (v9) OR.......one of the latest XP updates......

I tried to do a system restore to an month earlier (prior to any XP udtaes...all with the same result.

I was going to try to reinstall an older version (V8) and see if that helped...that is until I found this forum.

Any ideas ?

Thanks, Dan

i think an older version is probably then best bet, several have found that running the latest version of TeamViewer on older Boxes is problematic...How old is the hardware?
look at the home page there is a link to the older versions
