Starting issue

I just installed TeamViewer on a computer and I can see the TV window appear after it starts and then the window vanishes!
I tried the latest version, the portable one and also tried version 8 latest version.
same isuue.
I hope you understand what I write.

I see in the Processes there is only TeamViewer_server.exe but no tv_w32.exe ot TeamViewer.exe processes.
I tried installing twice.

You have installed the 'host' version, not the full version.

Do you happen to have "Relevant Knowledge" installed? If so, try to remove it.

No Relevant Knowledge installed but I suspect it may be a similar problem of some other program blocking TV.
Is there a list of possible conflicting applications?

I was not very clear about the whole thing:
I have Win XP Pro
I installed Ver 9 and I can see in the processes that it starts TeamViewer.exe and tv_w32.exe and then they are killed.
If I try to restart TV then I see the window appearing and then vanishing.
I installed Ver 8 and it does the same at startup but then if I restart it manually it works. So meanwhile I work with Ver 8 till I find a solution.

I have the same problem both with TV8 and now updated to TV 9 - when started TV9 loads then puts TV9 icon in System tray, I don't even get a program flash, it just fails to load, and then trying to go to the System tray TV icon to click on it and it disappears.

In Task Manager Teamviewer.exe is left but TV_w32.exe is no longer left in Processes.

Machine is WinXP with Virtualwin desktop (which has not caused problems the past (nor on other machines I get onto with TV9 on Win 8.1 laptop).
