Allowing Teamviewer to run with security
« on: September 29, 2014, 04:24:52 PM »
Hi there, Logmein refugee here.
Have just rolled out a custom teamviewer host to 500+ client PCs.
We use a combination of Winlock and Fortres Grand 101 to keep minimal access for clients.
I have been finding some of our computers will show as offline from time to time, After investigating I have found a number of different processes that are run by Teamviewer that needed to be allowed within security.
I just wanted to ask if anyone else has been in this situation? Either with Fortres or Winlock. I believe I have nailed most of them now, although I am having trouble with a process Teamviewer runs called TVTEST.TMP
I am assuming this runs when a screen saver starts and teamviewer then makes sure it has access to the screen?

Also, we are running XP SP3 (yes I know wtf) with windows updates turned off so I am trying to stop teamviewer from checking its windows update status.

Anyway, anyone with any experiences or anything to add is welcome to chime in.
