File Transfer mode and sharing folder
« on: January 29, 2015, 08:30:10 AM »
Hello, i say hello to all the community here :)

I usually use Teamviewer (for non-commercial purpose) with the File Transfer mode, but i would like to know if i can share only some folders and not all my HDD.  Is there a way to do this??

EDIT : I use TV 10

Thank you :)

Usually I'd use file transfer mode to upload a file that I have on my computer to the remote computer (say some script or small exe that I have written for a specific purpose), OR
to download a file from a remote computer back to to my computer (say a log file for a troublesome program).

If you are using file transfer mode to share your folder contents with others, and allowing them to choose what they download, you should probably look for an alternate solution
Some ideas are
FTP
A web site with a list of folders available for download
One of the many peer file sharing software (napster etc)

Personally, I have a web page with links, and allow anyone access to the files contained there, but this could easily be done via username and password authentication first
