My set-up is this:
1. Lenovo T530 laptop, Windows 7 Enterprise, TeamViewer 10.0.38475
2. Asus-based desktop, Windows 7 Home Premium, TeamViewer 10.0.38475
3. iPhone 5s, iOS 8, TeamViewer 10.0.37492 CL
TeamViewer application starts and works fine on all three.
A. From the laptop and the iPhone, I have no trouble logging into and controlling the desktop PC.
B. From the desktop and the iPhone, I am unable to connect to the laptop.
C. When I return to the laptop, the following message is displayed on its screen:
"The instruction at 0x77d1e3be referenced memory at 0x32615778. The memory could not be read."
It is not TeamViewer that crashed, it is TeamViewer_Desktop.exe that crashed. TeamViewer itself is still up and running on the laptop.
Naturally, I tried Google for help. I got a lot of thinly-disguised ads offering to send me a program to fix this error. But I also got some advice to clean up the registry, which I did with two different registry cleaners. No help. I tried re-installing TeamViewer on the laptop. No help. I searched this forum, but could not find a similar problem.
By the way, this started happening to me in November or so, when I was on TeamViewer 9. I was hoping that installing TeamViewer 10 would help me but it did not. Fortunately I have to control the desktop PC from the laptop much more than I have to go the other way round, so this is not super-critical, but I would like to get it to work.
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Jim in Ottawa.
