Control Only In One Tab
« on: March 28, 2015, 04:45:51 AM »
Hi,

I have been using TeamViewer for years and I love it!

Usually what I do is open it on my laptop and then I connect to my desktop. I have it set to open new windows in a tab. So I usually have two tabs, one for each of the two monitors on my desktop. I have always been able to switch from one tab to the other and regardless of which tab I am in, interact and have control over the remote pc in either tab.

This has changed for some reason lately.

Lately, I only have control in the first tab I open. The 2nd tab is view only now. It doesn't matter which monitor is 1st or 2nd tab. It only depends on which I open first. The 2nd tab to be opened always ends up view only

How do I change this back so that I can interact and have control in both monitors/tabs at the same time?

I changed no settings at all on my teamviewer.

I have the latest version on both machines.

Please help. This is driving me nuts.

I'm having this same problem also. I can only interact with the most recently opened window or tab.

I'm accessing a PC with three monitors and can interact with the main display just fine. However, if I open a window or tab for the second or third display, I can no longer interact with the first display until I close the tab or window with the second or third display. This problem arose just this morning. Last night I could have all three displays opened in separate windows and interact with all three without issue. Both the local and remote PC are running Windows 7.

I've been scouring the web for a solution but haven't come across anything.

Kind of frustrating.

Ditto.  There are a few other threads as well covering this, but apparently no answers.

Here is what I posted on another thread.

"Just hit the same problem. Everything worked fine on Friday afternoon, but its not working now.  I can open a second window showing the second monitor, but as soon as I do the mouse ceases to work on monitor 1 and only works in the 2nd monitor screen. It shows the mouse moving on monitor 1, but when you click anything, it activates whatever would have been clicked on from monitor 2 in the same position.

v 10.0.40642 (Mar 25)"

I'm guessing this is something to do with a recent update, whether its a windows or a teamviewer, Im not sure. What I am sure of is that the problem seemed to start for all of us at the same time.

Has anyone made the effort to start a support ticket directly or post to the Facebook( they seem to respond faster there) page?
Remember, this is a user supported forum, sometime the answer aren't available because we are all in the same situation, users , trying to help each other with experience we've had if no one has yet found a resolution we wont have an answer.

how to submit a ticket or post to Facebook:
