TeamViewer connecting properly when in the same network only
« on: August 13, 2015, 06:12:29 AM »
Hello,

I am having some problem with TeamViewer recently, it used to work properly before.

let's say I have two computers A (Desktop) and B (Laptop) and two locations X and Y.

I can connect from A in X to B in Y but I can not connect from B in Y to A in X, the problem is that each time I try , the connection is established for a second and then I get the message "connection lost and trying to connect".

note that when I am in the same network place X, I can connect in both ways A to B and B to A.

Can you help me to solve this issue please?

On Machine B
Check the option >> General >> Network Settings >> incoming LAN connections

What does it say?

On Machine B
Check the option >> General >> Network Settings >> incoming LAN connections

What does it say?

It says "Deactivated" on both A and B

Is it possible that the admin at location Y has banned Teamviewer, or more likely shaped the connection so that it stops and is useless?

That is common with corporate internet connections or free wifi hotspots
