I am trying to use the Lan only option with Teamviewer. However, I am having trouble with the Whitelist. No matter what I enter in to the whitelist, it will not allow a Lan connection - reporting that my main PC is blacklisted or not whitelisted.
It seems that the whitelist only works if the source PC is logged on to a Teamviewer account. This is ridiculous. You are trying to tell me that if I try to set up LAN access only, that the "remote" or "target" PC can only be accessed from a PC that "is" logged in to a Teamvier account and so can provide the correct whitelist information? That means that if the target PC that is set up for LAN ONLY can not access any other machine becuase selecting LAN ONLY automatically logs it out the Teamviewer account.
That's just plain crazy. The Whitelist and Blacklist should be completely disabled if the user selects LAN ONLY otherwise there is no way the PC's can actually all access each other.
Also, why on earth does Teamviewer normally remember passwords, yet for LAN connections it doesnt?
