Allow me to add an information.

The added feature in the V11 that ends the session after 3 hours, is present in the V10 that is available to download on the TeamViewer website.

In older versions, like 10.0.45862.0, this feature isn't present. Here's a link of this version that I'd downloaded from the TeamViewer official website, before the V11 came out, without any modification.  I don't know if newer versions have other features or bug fixes, so, use it at your own risk.

In order to fully restore to a previous version, I'd uninstalled the V11 (and V10 that I had download from their website), deleted the TeamViewer folder and run CCleaner to remove any trace of it on the registry. Then, I install the version of the link, and the sessions timeout are finally over.

Just remember to uncheck all the update options on the advanced settings.

I have also started to hit this undocumented 2-hour timeout.  It's irritating, and spoils an otherwise excellent product.  I help various family members with their PCs via TeamViewer, and sometimes lengthy sessions are needed to address problems.  Having TeamViewer timeout when you're in the middle of something is a pain.

Wow, annoying.  I want to set up a laptop somewhere to monitor a private venue in order to perfectly time a surprise party... I need it to run for many hours, as I will set up in the morning.

If it disconnects, is there any way to connect without being on the other computer physically?

What's also annoying is there's no intermediate option, it's either £500 or nothing.  I'd like to see a licenced personal version, like £40 or so, non-commercial, but some features unlocked.  There doesn't seem to be  a home user licence option.

Just install the unattended host on that remote machine
You can relog on if your session gets dropped

ALso paid version is no different except for this 2 hour limit IN SOME CASES.

Has anyone else experienced that Version 11.0.59131 isn't forcing timeout now? I seem to be going on nearly 20 hours without a forced timeout and keeping fingers crossed that the "feature" was updated.

I know that I can uninstall v11 and roll back to v10 however I would rather not.  In light of the 2 hour window of being logged out how do I at least set TeamViewer so it does not reassign a password each time?

I want to bump this back to the top - I just encountered the timeout that "may" be due to my free license type.  However, there is no indication.

I am looking for someone from TeamViewer to validate what the people here are seeing.

Two questions...

Is there a forced timeout in the free licensed full version?
Has user "Brady" actually detected that the timeout was removed from later versions?

(I downloaded 11 about a week ago, and just encountered the timeout while working in the remote session).
