TV is sending my single clicks as double clicks

My remote and home computers are both running Windows 7 and have the current version of TV installed. In the past couple of weeks my use of TV has been frustrated by it sending my single clicks as double clicks. For example, if the computer I am connecting to has MS Outlook launched, and I single-click on an email in the Inbox list, the email will often open, i.e. Outlook thinks I double-clicked on it. I have tried adjusting the double-click speed settings on both the home and remote computers with no success.
