teamviewer 12 connection failure

Hello users, I have been using teamviewer v12 on windows 10 for a while but suddenly it started not to work: when trying to connect to remote machine it remains stuck with the screenshot of establishing connection but nothing happens. I have tried to reboot the system, I have uninstalled and reinstalled teamviewer but nothing seems to solve the issue. Does anybody have any suggestions?
