Windows to Linux Glitchy Screen

Hello, I am currently renting a VPS server which is running on Ubuntu. I can view and control this server via SSH or TightVNC. TightVNC is my preferred option as it is a remote access program similar to Teamviewer. Only problem is TightVNC is incredibly slow and laggy. So I installed Teamviewer. But now when I try and view the VPS from my Windows PC via Teamviewer I get a really glitchy image. I can still control the VPS from this, but it is impossible to see what I'm doing. I have attached a picture which shows the problem I am having. I have tried changing the systems resolution, but this has not changed a thing. I have also tried rebooting both the server and my computer with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
