Hello,
I don't remember if I've setup a certain option during installation. I think it's called "unattended access", and means that the computer is always accessible from anywhere, anytime.
From screenshots on the web I can see that during installation the following question is asked: "Do you later want to remote access the computer you are installing TeamViewer on at the moment"?
Option 1 is "No (default) - outgoing and incoming connection from and to this computer are possible. For incoming connections you need to start TeamViewer and tell your partner your random password (it changes with every start of TeamViewer)".
Option 2 is "Yes - after installation a wizard will help you to setup TeamViewer that you can access it anytime from anywhere. You'll set a predefined password and this computer will be available with TeamViewer even before Windows logon".
I want to use TeamViewer with option 1.
I think it is already setup with this option, because I notice the following things:
- In the Connection menu, the option "Setup unattended access..." is available, which starts a wizard "...to setup TeamViewer so that you can access this computer anytime without being physically there". But I'm not sure if this would just change settings for the unattended access (which could be already enabled).
- In the Options panel, under Security, no personal password is available/setup.
- In the Options, under General, "Start TeamViewer with Windows" is disabled.
I would like to know from you to be sure. Is this option (unattended access) already disabled on my computer?
Thanks.
