Green Dots? what are they on the Icons?
« on: June 23, 2013, 08:11:49 AM »
I am using the free version. Windows 7, team viewer 8. I can see all the 5 partners that are online under "My Partners". They are not offline. The Icons for all 5 are dark grey (as opposed to light grey for the ones that are offline). There is a Dot that is green in 4 of the online Icons & fifth one is grey with white inside.
I have trouble connecting to this 5th computer? I have to tell the other person on the 5th computer that it is not working, he says that it is working. Not sure what he does after that but the dot stays grey & then I am able to connect. It seems like that someone at the other computer does something to let me in & then it works. Can it be like that?
Any ideas?

I've not seen what you say (grey dots, white centres for online computers), but there is an option that does as you describe...

Options >> Advanced >> show advanced settings >> Advanced Settings for connections to this computer >> Access control >>

Thanks I will try it & let you know if it fixes the problem. For the dots, if look closely at the ICONS of the computers that are online, you will see a little green dot at the bottom right of the icon.

yes I get green dots

I just haven't seen grey dots with white inside.
They are either Green dots or they are greyed out (unavailable) for me
