Wow, OK I stand corrected. Not sure how I made that happen first time (I saw it with my own two eyes!@!@!) I got a reply from TV support stating the same you have (local KBD dictates the character send) and I tested it with my own machines and it worked. Very odd that I cannot replicate what happened before. I know I was prevented from logging into the remote PC due to the caps lock key being on there. Oh well, have to chalk this one up to.... duh?    ???

Oh Well, I cannot replicate this issue. I know I saw this issue happen right in front of me. I'm beginning to wonder if it was a cross-platform issue from MAC to PC or visa-versa. If it happens again I'll re-post but otherwise.... I guess that's why I'm a goofpod... freakin' weird, though.

Hello Goofpod,
I met this problem today, and I login successfully.
1.action/sending combination key
2.entering password with SHIFT KEY (this can change upper case letter to lower case)
it works.but not always...

Hi All !
I had simillar Issue, and found some sort of solution:
on windows 7 a locked computer have an option to "switch users", click that then click back the user You want to log in.
Caps lock warning should not be in anymore, Type Your pass as normal and it should let You in.
Then You can use on screen keyboard to turn caps off.

I figured it out... you can just disable the remote input and you can then proceed.

I know this is late, sorry, just adding that rebooting the remote machine resets the Caps Lock (did here anyway)

I created an account because I solved this problem and I think my solution was pretty ingenious.  I also could not log in using TeamViewer because I left my Caps Lock on the remote machine.  I could not find a way to turn off the Caps Lock from the machine I am using to connect.  The remote machine is locked so other solutions won't work.  But on the Windows 7 login screen is a cryptic little icon in the bottom left of the window that looks like a circle.  If you press that icon you get Ease of Access options (for the handicapped).  Select Type Without Keyboard (On-Screen Keyboard).  Click Apply and an on-screen keyboard appears.  You can use that to turn off the Caps Lock and/or log in.  There may be some other way, but I couldn't find it.

I figured out another way  so I am sharing here.
At the login screen, click in the accessibility options and check the on-screen keyboard.
There you will be able to turn off the CapsLock key in the remote machine.

can i add another issue with the "shit-capslock" and TV?
it as nothing to do with the logging but i ask "you" to try this :

connect to a w7 machine and open a cmd.exe Windows shell , activate the capslock and then try to open with edit.com a text file and the to type letters and numbers. I bet you will see caps letters but instead of get numbers you will get special caracters connected to the numbers Keys like you are keep pressing SHIFT

like if you press the key "4" and you will get a "$"
it is a strange issue and for now i could replicate only with edit.com , i guess it happens with all the console software i could execute from cmd.exe

after many email triing to explain to the support team what was the issue they just told me that edit.com is like other old dos software and teamviewer  "do not work DOS softwares"

what i am asking myself is
1)  why this issues came out with TV9 and before all was working correctly
2) i think that this software have a "big trouble Handling SHIFT etc etc"
2) why when 1 year and half ago they didnt told me this before i payed 898 euro's ?
3) i work as a tecnician and i do lot of "tele-assistance" and i do that using lot of console software like also the one EDIT.COM that is part of the operating system w7. what sense have their reply telling me that TV doenst work with that "big part of world" that is around us that still need our assistance that still have windows7 edit.com ETC ETC ?
i just can think i made a wrong buy paying that 898 euro's ... i could take something else for very less and maybe much more "compatibility" but specially.. more support to solve a "so stupid bug"

regards

guys I figured out how to get past the login screen when Cap locks is on the computer you are trying to log into. Go to the menu options for team viewer. Go to Actions and under actions is "Send Key Combinations". My interpretation of what this does is send your key combinations exactly as you have entered them from you machine. Let me know if this helps you. I'm interested in knowing if you had the same luck as I did.

I found a work around:

at the login screen hit cancel, then send a ctrl-alt-delete, and choose switch users, then when you select the desired user, the caps lock will be off.

I was able to turn off caps lock key on the remote pc by ctl-alt-del key combination with the "Actions"  option the click "new task" then run the program "osk.exe"  which runs the on-screen keyboard on the remote pc then click the caps key
