Partner showing as offline
« on: August 15, 2013, 07:57:55 AM »
I have a user in an organization that uses a paid version of teamviewer.  She wanted to connect from home to get some extra things done over the weekend, so we set her up with the free version on her home PC.  She leaves her computer at work on, with teamviewer open and up when she leaves.  By the time she gets home, her teamviewer there says that her work computer is offline and she cannot connect.  Does anyone have an ideas what may be causing this and how we might go about fixing the issue?

likely the remote PC is setup to go into hibernation.
Check the power properties and make sure that hibernation is OFF
rightclick desktop/properties/screensaver/adjust power settings/change when the computer sleeps(hibernation)
use the drop down next to "put the computer to sleep" and change it to "never".
You can leave the display to turn off whenever you want, that will no affect it.
