Password set on Options
« on: October 24, 2014, 07:49:45 AM »
Hi All, hopefully its a quick one, I've put teamviewer on my Son's laptop (he's at Uni) and whilst a whizz at chemistry P.C's "bore" him, as he's a fair way away I thought it would be a good idea to install it. I've tried to make some changes under Extra's - Options at this point it asks for a password !? I haven't set a password... how can I get rid of this password ? or find out what it is ?

Any help is gratefully received  ;D John

someone has set a password

Uninstalling, rebooting and then reinstalling may fix, but then again may not. That is probably set as a registry entry I'd guess

Probably this one
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\[Wow6432Node]\TeamViewer\VersionX\OptionsPasswordAES
