Author Topic: Remote PC with Teamviewer (v10) Crashes after just Connecting  (Read 5951 times)

Hi All,

New to the group, mainly because I have a problem that I cannot fix.

Our local school has a FM Radio Station, which I help manage. Primary School (5-10 years)
Running Windows 7 and I have installed Teamviewer V10 (latest), so I can access it to manage the tracks and programming.
A few weeks ago I logged into Teamviewer and accessed the school's PC stayed connected for about 30secs then locked up. Tried this a few times with the same result. Then tried access from 3 different PCs and again stayed on for ~30 secs then crashed.
I tried my other Teamviewer remotes and they worked ok, no problems, so narrowed it to the School's PC.
Went to the school and re-installed Teamviewer 10, and all worked as it should.
Now yesterday I tried to access the School's PC and again I have the same connect problem, connected for up to 30 secs then crashes and shuts down.
I will have to go and re-install it again?

Is there any idea why this could be happening? It has been working for over a year without any issues up to the first incident a few weeks ago.
It is on the schools fibre network, which is 24/7, so don't see this being the problem.
The PC is running okay, min CPU and memory usage.
Have checked for viruses and any infections, and all comes back clean.

So I need some help?

(I need to access and remove a song or two that is not suitable, quickly. I cannot run down to the school each time)

Check with IT for the school, perhaps they filter TeamViewer traffic and they may need to allow an exception through their firewall.

I've seen this with some government department firewalls
