Hey all,

I dont know if this has been reported or not, I couldnt find anything on the forums about the newest version, but this update seems to keep waking up all of my pcs from standby maybe ever 20-30 minutes and it's becoming very annoying.  :-\ Has anyone else had this problem?  I know it's from this update because it began to happen the last 2 days.  I checked powercfg -lastwake and it's pointing to TeamViewer as the culprit.  Is there a fix or soon to be fix for this or should I just uninstall the latest version and wait for another update?

Sorry forgot to add, Win 7 x64 Prof

Thanks again

Please lodge an official support ticket for this, or make contact with Teamviewer on their facebook page

This a user run forum, not official support

Same thing here on to pcs, one with Win7HP, one with Win8.1Prof. I've sent a feedback email to the TeamViewer support today. Still waiting for an answer.

Same thing happening to me too, teamviewer waking laptop from hibernate every 40mins or so.

No previous version over the last 5 years has ever done this.

Had to uninstall it.  :-(

Same in Windows 7 and Windows 10.

A Solution for that problem:

disable wake timers in power configuration.

look how to do that in the bottom of this page
http://www.howtogeek.com/122954/how-to-prevent-your-computer-from-waking-up-accidentally/

it made me nuts for couple of days, but gladly i found a solution that worked for me.

never heard about those wake timers before.

It doesn't work on Windows10.

I can confirm that - I have the same issue with the latest version of Teamviewer and despite waketimers supposedly being disabled in control panel, the PC still wakes up. Of course, no idea if that is a Windows 10 or Teamviewer issue (the fact that the disable waketimers doesn't work that is - the initial setting of the waketimer by this new version of TV is of course, Teamviewers fault).

Strange, anyway, for my win7 x64 it works, let me know if anyone else with windows 7 solved that with that solution, or maybe i did somthing else that fixed that.

Sadly I needed to remove TV as it also would wake up my Windows 10 x64 PC, regardless of wake timer settings being off. The trigger for the wake event was the Teamviewer service and even though the WOL feature had been turned off it made no difference. Support mail sent with more information, including the wake event message for the Teamviewer service which woke the PC.

Part of the response that I got from TV is....

Quote
We got some news from our developers that this is unfortunately a known problem in the current version. Our developers are already working on a solution and this will be fixed as soon as possible. We are really sorry about the inconvenience.

....hopefully we should get a resolve soon.

Has anyone who's been in touch with TV support gotten further information about when this might get fixed?
